Marginalized Spiritualities Complete Conversation

07 April 10

Betsy Olson describes the connection between two studies of spirituality among young people. The first, conducted in Glasgow, revealed great differences between experiences in middle-class contexts and those in areas of deprivation. The first and smaller study looked at religious identities among young people in Glasgow, the second at spirituality in areas of deprivation in Manchester and Glasgow, and looks in greater depth at “new landscapes” of “marginalised spirituality”. Recorded in conversation with Norman Winter in April 2010.
