Jasjit Singh passes his PhD Viva

Jasjit Singh, University of Leeds, Collaborative Studentship holder under the supervision of Professor Kim Knott, Programme Award Holder,and Dr Sean McLoughlin, has passed his PhD Viva with minor corrections.  Eleanor Nesbitt, University of Warwick, was external examinder and Emma Tomalin internal examiner. Jasjit attributed part of his success to the Programme "Many thanks also to Linda Woodhead, Peta Ainsworth and Rebecca Catto for allowing me to be a part of the excellent 'Religion & Society' programme - enabling me to meet and get to know a whole host of friendly, accessible and good natured academics many of whom opened doors to a whole host of experiences and opportunities". Jasjit has participated in many Programme events and you can listen to him talking about his project here.  He is going on to take up a 3-year post with University of Leeds as a Research Innovation and Impact Fellow, with Arts Engaged.
