Launch Conference: Religion, Society and Youth

12th - 14th May 2009 | Lancaster House Hotel, Ellel, Lancaster

A three-day conference for all those awarded grants in the second phase of the Programme. Each award holder will give a 20 minute presentation on their research project. There will also be plenary presentations. The aim of the conference is to allow award holders to meet and learn from one another, and to provide information to assist them as they embark on their research projects.

Workshop for Doctoral Students: PhD Research in Religion: Six Steps to Success

December 15 2008

15th-16th December 2008 | Holiday Inn, Camden Lock, London

A two-day practical workshop (with optional overnight stay) for PhDs working on the Programme. Also open on Monday, 15th December at 5.p.m. for Tom Tweed Keynote Lecture, followed by drinks reception, and Tuesday, 16th December, to any PhD student working in the area of religion and society.

A three-day conference for all those awarded grants in the first phase of the Programme. Each award holder will give a 20 minute presentation on their research project. There will also be plenary presentations on:

  • The Religion and Society Programme (Professor Linda Woodhead, Programme Director)
  • Funded Research (Professor Tony McEnery)
  • Communications and the Media (AHRC comms team, Professor Kim Knott, Professor Linda Woodhead)

The aim of the conference is to allow award holders to meet and learn from one another, and to provide information to assist them as they embark on their research projects.
