Colloquium on 'Religious Actors at the UN'

17th November 2011, Bahá’í International Offices, 866 UN Plaza, New York

This colloquium will bring together interested UN diplomats, civil society actors, and academics to explore questions around the function and perception of RNGOs and the handling of cultural /religious differences at the UN. The colloquium will be helpful in promoting the building of knowledge and enhancing understanding about the role of religious actors at the UN.

Topics of Discussion:

• Religion and Global Changes within Civil Society

• Overview of RNGO Involvement at the UN in New York

• NGOs and the resolution of the Defamation of Religions Issue
